The Challenge
To design a unique event concept, plan and organize the grand opening event which would emphasize the project's proximity to YVR and prime location as a portal to the rest of the world.
Our Approach
The Paramount is a master planned community in downtown Richmond developed by Keltic Canada consisting of 3 residential towers and 1 commercial office tower located right next to the Canada Line Sky Train station.
To highlight the project's proximity to YVR international airport and thus its connection with the world, we decided to recreate a first-class travel experience with an event, aptly titled 'Beaupassage', meaning 'beautiful journey' in French.
Every aspect of the event tied back to the theme of international travel, from the champagne at the door (which first-class travelers receive on a flight), to the variety of different cultural cuisines on the event menu (from Moroccan to French, Korean, Mexican and Chinese). For each of the dishes, we designed themed menu item tags incorporating the flags of each country the dish was from.
Entry tickets both physical and digital were designed to look like boarding passes, and attendees were all automatically entered to an exotic cultural experience -- a trip for 2 to watch the Grand Prix races in Abu Dhabi.
