The Challenge
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Shangri-La Hotel's Vancouver location and drive restaurant bookings for Hong Kong-based visiting Michelin Chef.
Our Approach
To mark the hotel’s tenth year in Vancouver, we marketed a limited time culinary experience with Michelin Chef Cheung of Shang Palace restaurant at Shangri-La Kowloon, Hong Kong. To reinforce the brand’s Asia ties and luxury brand positioning, the hotel gave away a business class travel package for 2 to anywhere Air Canada flies, along with a hotel stay at the Kerry Hotel in Hung Hom Bay valued at $13,000.
Results
The social media sponsored post on Weibo garnered over 100,000 views within the first 5 days and 257 shares. The restaurant was fully-booked for the days when Michelin Chef Cheung acted as a guest chef at the Vancouver location.
