The Challenge

 

To plan an engaging, covid-safe experience for 60 influencers for the launch of an art exhibition in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. The goal was to drive viral awareness for the art exhibition to encourage the influencers' followers to book a private tour at artofwonder.ca.

 

Our Approach

 

Our team planning the Covid-safe experience so we could accommodate 10 influencers per hour (60 influencers in total) over the course of 2 days.

We designed the experience so the photo ops were spread out throughout the exhibition space, so the influencers wouldn't need to fight over one photo op to take their photos and social media videos.

We also planned the 1-hour experience to include time for a welcome for the client to share the vision behind the art exhibition, 20 minutes for influencers to interact and take photos of the beautiful British-gardens themed, whimsical photo ops, and we wrapped the experience with a tea ceremony courtesy of our partners with local tea purveyor O5 Tea located in Vancouver West.

Each influencer received Art of Wonder branded gifts which doubled as photo props, a collection of 4 British-garden themed cupcakes featuring floral designs made with buttercream, and the 'Enchanted Garden' tea that Gryphon Development created in collaboration with O5 Tea.

 

Results

 

Within the first 36 hours, we had over 400 registrations for private tours. Within the 48 hours, we had 676 registrations. After 4 days, we had 1000+ registrations. For comparison purposes, the client had 1 registration per day on average prior to our influencer experience. The influencers in attendance shared over 220 posts across RED (XiaoHongShu), WeChat, Weibo, and Instagram.

Many attendees who visited after our event also shared posts tagged #TheArtofWonder, which continued the virality of the art exhibition for a full month after our event.
