Human Resources and Recruitment Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruit Top Talent to support the growth of the company creating a positive experience for all candidates

  • Create comprehensive job descriptions and engaging job advertisements that speak to our culture, benefits and employee experience

  • Screen applicants and schedule interviews for the team

  • Assist management with planning and execution of employee career development, compensation strategy, performance reviews, monthly check-ins

  • Maintain a positive presence on social media and any relevant employment sites

  • Organize quarterly HR planning meetings to ensure retention and engagement is high

  • Develop necessary plans and documentation for employee onboarding and Employer Branding

  • Plan and coordinate onsite and offsite meetings, meeting rooms, special sales, employee functions and events including logistics such as location, meals, communication, materials and RSVP's

  • Generally ensure office operates smoothly

  • Record, track, and report on employee information saved in custom-built HRIS

  • Meet with all new employees and explain the company’s HR and Benefits and policies

  • Maintain current HR policies and be the employee’s go-to person for questions

ABOUT YOU

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary institution

  • Minimum 3 years as an HR Generalist supporting 30+ staff in a startup environment

  • Demonstrated strength in time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and changing environment

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documenting HR information

  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to last-minute changes, you are a change agent

  • Take initiative to identify and execute upcoming tasks and projects

  • Some administrative experience, preferably in a service business relying heavily on technology

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated team player

  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Office Suite including advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • Strong sense of professionalism and diplomacy with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, and internal and external business partners
