Last month, Catalyst Agents organized a Chinese Influencer event for our client Maison Birks, to facilitate their efforts to introduce UK-based diamond retailer Graff to the Canadian market. Prior to the opening of Graff’s first official boutique in Vancouver, a selection of exquisite jewellery items from the Graff collection was showcased at the Graff pop-up shop in Maison Birk's Yorkdale Shopping Centre store in Toronto.

We teamed up with local fashion community group TorontoSnap to find compatible local influencers to attend the event. During the event, we introduced the Chinese influencers to the Graff brand history and designs, and each of the 9 influencers who attended had the opportunity to try on individual pieces for photos. They were also encouraged to share pictures and videos of the jewellery items on their social channels including WeChat and Instagram to drive traffic to the pop-up shop.

The Instagram posts and stories along with WeChat articles drove an average of 2500+ engagements per post, totalling to over 20,000+ engagements on Chinese and English social platforms.
